Welcome to tailhavenhabitat.org (the “Website”). The Website is operated by Tailhaven Habitat, Inc. (“Tailhaven,” “we,” or “us”), a Connecticut nonprofit corporation. By using the Website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.
About the Website
The Website shares Tailhaven’s mission, plans, progress, and ways to donate and stay in touch. Our Pilot Habitat, Habitat Guardian model, and future habitat network are in development. Descriptions, illustrations, and timelines express our current plans and may change as we refine the model, obtain necessary approvals, and secure resources. They are not promises that a particular habitat, program, service, or opportunity will be available.
Submitting a contact or interest form does not create a volunteer, employment, Habitat Guardian, adoption, or any other formal relationship with Tailhaven. Any such relationship would require a separate agreement or process.
Donations and Tax Status
The Website, through its “Donate (Coming Soon!)” button, does not currently accept online donations. We will begin accepting donations after Tailhaven’s charitable registration with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection has been accepted.
Tailhaven Habitat, Inc. was incorporated in Connecticut on June 10, 2026 and is applying for recognition of tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. If the IRS approves Tailhaven’s application and recognizes its tax exempt status effective June 10, 2026, qualifying contributions made on or after that date will be tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. We will update this information when the IRS issues its determination.
Canine Wellness Information
Information on the Website about canine nutrition, enrichment, health, and wellbeing is provided for general education. It is not veterinary advice or a substitute for care from a licensed veterinarian. Each dog’s needs are different. Consult a veterinarian before making significant changes to any dog’s diet or care.
Ownership and Permitted Use
Unless otherwise indicated, Tailhaven owns or has permission to use the text, photographs, graphics, logos, and other material on the Website. You may view, download, or print reasonable portions for your personal, noncommercial use, provided you keep any copyright or attribution notices.
Please obtain Tailhaven’s written permission before republishing substantial portions of the Website, using its photographs or branding, or using Website material for commercial purposes. Material credited to third parties remains subject to their owners’ rights.
Tailhaven Habitat™, Where Dogs Are Home™, and the Tailhaven Habitat logo are marks associated with Tailhaven Habitat, Inc. Tailhaven Fresh Gourmet™ and its logo are associated with a planned related dog food venture that will be referenced on this Website. Applications to register these names and logos with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office are in progress.
You may use these names to refer accurately to Tailhaven or to link to this Website. Use of the Website does not grant permission to reproduce either logo or to use any of these marks in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or approval without prior written permission from the applicable rights holder.
Acceptable Use and Links
You may link to the Website if the link is accurate and does not suggest that Tailhaven sponsors or endorses you, your organization, or your products or services unless Tailhaven has expressly agreed to that relationship in writing. You agree not to frame our pages or present our content as your own.
You agree not to interfere with the Website’s operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce harmful code, or use the Website for unlawful purposes.
